I think 2.5 months Leave is sufficient for preparations. Make a habit to study on daily basis.

Hi pratima, 2.5months is more than enough for your studies, and hey, as per the ICAI president, we are not suppose to take study holidays at all(as what i understand from the President's Message in Chartered accountant magazine i read a month back), so, you cant complain about it with institute, but still most of the article get almost similar time period of leave only, so as Utham says, make regular studyng a habit..all the best.....

The trainees earn leave at the rate of one - sixth of the period actually served by them.

Hey thanks all for the advice, but even before i posted my situation out here, i had started regular studies, but as all u guys know, we slog the day out working, leave home at 9 in the morning and not return before 8 p.m., and as IT filing due date nears it extends to 9,10,11....... in the night, its really difficult to get back home and sit with the books, i try to study altleast an hour everyday, but at this pace i do not know where i would reach......... and its no use complaining in theCA institute as it is completely pro-member. y doent our president understand that by curbin transfers the prob of dummy articleship doesn really get resolved, itsbecause of the members who are ready to give dummy to students that this loophole exists, then y make our lives so terrible, y screw us over. Lets hope that the coming presidents would be much realistic in their approach and our juniors would have a smooth articleship period. Thanks all, keep posting in your views
