Once Part A of E-way bill has been generated, the details of vehicle has to be filled in Part B within 15 days from the date of filling of Part A.
Second Proviso to Rule 138(9) of the CGST Act
"Provided further that the unique number generated under sub-rule (1) shall be valid for a period of fifteen days for updation of Part B of FORM GST EWB-01"
