11 September 2012Dear Sir,
I have submitted ETDS return for the year 2011-12 (4 quaters) during the current year (12-13). Now I find TDS on consultancy charges which was deducted before(11-12) not depositing into bank. can I deposit the amount now. If yes, then can I submit the revivise TDS return by adding the name and amount. Please guide me.

Yes, You can deposit TDS deducted in year 2011-12 now. You have to pay Interest on the TDS amount @ 1.5% P.m. for the month from it was deducted till the month of actual payment and you can revise the TDS Return.

Thanks for your guideline. But can I change the amount in return and add new name? consolidated ETDS file which will be provided by NSDL for correction the return, does the consolidated file permit that type of rectification?
