Hi!
In a company, if there are certain employees on payroll and some temporary employees (total >20), ESIC becomes applicable.
1.75% is Employee's contribution and 4.75% is Employer's.
Is any contribution payable by Employer on Temporary employees' salary / wages???

under ESI rules, such workers get eligible to covered after 21 days of joining, irrespective of fact they are in master roll or not.
however trainees can not be covered, but trainees are not eligible to get salary or wages.
anybody who has worked and is eligible for salary or wages in previous month, is to be covered under ESI act.
