ESI Treatment

Hi,

In my company, some employee are in ESI limit (i.e <10,000 Rupees) at the begining of Financial year (01-04-2008). At the time of confirmation (01-06-2008) his salary got revised (i.e Rs. 11,500). My HR Dept. is telling we have deduct ESI for the perticular employee up to Sep-08.

Is it correct?.
