Errors in efiling itr 2 for ay 2018-19 in excel utility

Hi, I am using the excel utility for preparing ITR2 for ay 2018-19 but I am getting an error ”Schedule TTI : check for financial interests / assets out of India should be filled ‘ . I have already filled up the relevant sheets. Can someone please help me understand the reason of this error message ?

Departmental excel utility of ITR 2 is not functioning properly (Its called software bug). (Many tax payers are facing such difficulties)

So, either try JAVA utility or call helpline for any solution......

ITR2 xls utility has a bug. I have faced the similar issue. Use JAVA utility to file the ITR2.

Note that you have to install Java first if it's not already installed. Use below link:

https://www.java.com/en/download/

Once installed, click on ITR.bat file in Java utility which will open GUI. This is much better than xls.

At "Home" tab, disable the sections that are not applicable to you e.g. 'Schedule AMT'.

Same problem I came across while preparing ITR 3 in Excel utility. In my case when i checked Part B TTI of there was point no 14 in Red Words which was remained to be filled, i selected there NO option then problem was fixed. I am confident that this will solve your problem. Though ITR forms are different but information is same hence please do accordingly.
