i had re installed tally erp.9 and when i am opening a company in newly installed tally, i got following message
Incorrect Version
Data of Incorrect ver (8).
Can only run version 7!

Take a copy of currect data file as back up.
Press ALT + Cntrl+R
will come rewrite option click yes and go for rewriting. Your problem will b solved

exiting tally incorrect version data of incorrect version 10 can only run version 9
