Return was not previously filed but While submitting ITR for AY 2023-24 U/s 139(8A), error shows that return file U/s 139(8A) but no additional income is disclosed in part b ATI. What is the solution. Return for the same person filed successfully for AY 2022-23 without mentioning anything in part b ATI.

Updated return cannot be filed if there is no additional tax liability.
The time limit for filing updated returns is 2 years from the end of such relevant assessment year
For AY 2023-24 (FY 2022-23): The due date for filing updated return is from 1st April,2024 to 31st Mar 2026 (subject to release of the corresponding utility.)

I am facing the situation. JSON is not getting uploaded. It showed the same errror. But should it not be letting us update after paying the Late fee?

If yes, whether there is any additional tax liability in updated retun?

Return was not filed earlier. I had given the option "NO" in the specific field. But I am not having any tax after deductions. Only the Chalan fee had to be payed.

I'm also facing same issue, Previously not filed and not having tax after deductions. 1000RS fee paid. Does anyone know the solution?

Mine was cleared once details were updated in part B ATI.
When you have not filed before, it would mean your full income is the additionally disclosed income. Try filling the details of income in Part B ATI fields as well.
