Equity and rental income

Tax queries 124 views 2 replies

Hello,

I have income from Equity oriented investments (on both stocks and mutual funds and on both short term and long term).

I do not have any salary income.

However, I do have dividend income from stocks and also income from house rental (given by my son).

My equity oriented income has a different tax structure which I am able to get it from my broker.

However, my income form dividends and rental is in my hand, based on the normal my income tax slab.

My question is how do I calculate my normal income tax slab here, given the above information?

In other words, Will I fall into income tax slab that is a cumulative of both equity oriented income and dividend and rental income? OR will it be just dividend and rental income?

Appreciate your help!

Thanks, Pradeep

Income tax slab that will be cumulative of both equity oriented income (less CG u.s, 111A & 112A);  dividend and rental income in aggegate.

Agreed
