So boring to read such a long para |
I was somewhat flabbergasted when I first read the above comment; because even after going through my post for a couple of times, I failed to find that long boring paragraph, other than the introductory one which may fit the bill in this case.
The comment fortuitously reminded me of one ADVERTISEMENT, aired regularly on TV some 3 or 4 years ago….
The AD was about an Australian beverage, funnily trying to associate rough-and-tough OZ character with it.
A sleeping person gets a hit on his head with a table-clock----- WAKE UP CALL- that was one variety of the AD. It was funny, but………. only on TV.
The uncouth AD hardly has any pertinence for a modern-day professional or for that matter, professional of any era.
It was all the more surprising, as the comment came from a CA Final student who , I suppose will hold important corporate position in not-so-distant-a-future.
Knowledge and politeness - for me - should go hand in hand.
And here in CCI, such combination of erudition and refinement is found in abundance among the members.
Sanjay ji, is a model of such disposition. The support of all the friends here and the philosophical views of Sanjay ji stopped me short of being aghast at such oafish way of criticizing.
I reiterate, criticisms are welcome but not rudeness. Not willing to miss an opportunity to practice what I preach, I take this opportunity to thank Mr. Kumar for his comments. I wish to hear from him more in future. I also wish to improve a lot in my way of presenting myself and my write-ups.
I'm, as always, greatful to Sanjay ji, for showing me the way thus:
"Always remember praise gives satisfaction and criticism ignites the fire in your belly to do even better."
