I have one college. I am the principal of that college and also i am the faculty of that college. My auditor told me I am not eligible for getting salary as a faculty because you are the member of educational society.
my query is i am eligible for getting salary or not if yes what is the provision, if not what is the proviaion

whatever you received as faculty will be taxed as business income and what you received by working as principle will be taxed as salary income
Here the question arises as the salary can be drawn by a member, who is also treated as an owner of the association.
principal is not the owner of association ad schools are run by trusts and trustees are the persons who govern them
