hello friends

i had appeared for 1st group of ipcc in may and cleared it

my 2nd group exam is in november

i am thinking of starting articleship in november after 2nd grp exams

will i be able to give the may 2015 ca final exam

No before 31st October you have to start your articleship for Final attempt ( May, 2015).

31st October is last date for appear in may 2015.

If you are a fresh IPCC student then you cannot appear in exam. However some of conditions for November 2011(Which can change in 2015) are:

Eligibility criteria for the Final Examination to be held in November, 2011
	1.1 (i) The candidate should have passed the Intermediate Examination or Professional Education Examination – II/PCC/IPCC. (ii) he should have obtained Final Registration number from Board of Studies of the concerned Regional office of the Institute;
	and
	1.2 (i) you must have completed the prescribed period of 3 years or 3 ½ years of article training as on the date of filling the form;
	or
	(ii) you must be due to complete the prescribed period of 3 years or 3 ½ years of article training including excess leave, if any on or before 31st October, 2011
	or
	(iii) you must be in service as on 1st November 2011, serving the last twelve months of training including excess leave, if any and due to complete 3 years on or before 31st October, 2012.(for PEII students and PEII students converted to IPCC)
	or
	(iv) you must be in service as on 1st November, 2011 and serving the last six months of training including excess leave, if any and due to complete 3 ½ years on or before 30th April, 2012. (for PCC students) (Certificate of service to this effect will be sent to the Additional Secretary (Exams) by 30th November, 2011.
	or
	(v)you must be in service as on 1st November, 2011 and serving the last six months of training including excess leave, if any, and due to complete 3 years articleship on or before 30th April, 2012. (For Intermediate students)( Certificate of service to this effect should be sent to the Additional Secretary (Exams) by 30th November, 2011
	or
	(vi) you must be in service as on 1st November 2011 and serving the last 12 months of article training including excess leave, if any, and due to complete 3 ½ years of articleship or or before 31st October 2012(for students converted from PEII to PCC as well as students converted from PEII to PCC and then to IPCC) (certificate of service to this effect should be sent to the Additional Secretary (Exams) by 30th November 2011.

	Candidates who have taken termination are advised to re-register for the balance preiod of training so as to be in service as on 1st November 2011 and to complete 3 years or 3 ½ years of training (including excess leave taken, if any) on or before 31st October, 2012 or 30th April 2012 respectively.

but i am delaying my articleship till nov because if i join articleship now i wont get time to prepare for grp 2 exams in nov

my classes of grp 2 r over long back ..6m ago..n i have just started studying

what do u suggest me..?

Dear Karan,

According to my view you go for your articleship now don't waste your attempt

and as far as second group of IPCC is concern you can study by your own and take one month leave before the NOVEMBER attempt.

ok... n do the firms grant leave so easily?

n how many days leave should i take...should i take it from october 1st week..?

so that i get atleast 1m to prepare..

Yes you will get one month leav.

Start studying from now and when you take leave start preparing hard for the attemp you will clear easily.

Be positive in your approach don't get confused and double minded ...

Fact that "Nothing can be learned in small firms" is completely wrong.

In small firms, you have all types of work like Accounts maintanence for clients, Return filing works (TDS,

Service Tax), Registration matters (ST& VAT registration), Income Tax Returns (Salary, HP, Business,

Capital Gains), Companies & Trusts audit, Bank Audits, Stock audits, Certification Issues (Form 15CB)

Statutory audit of Companies, Tax Audits Etc., With this kind of exposure, you can survive in any

Industry (Banking, Manufacturing, Trading etc.,) . Also it will help you to prosper in practice.

Only disadvantage is that there is no RECOGNITION in industry and interviewer will definitely

come to know about your potential after interview. In Big 4, you can learn things relating to a particular

area like (Statutory audit, Taxation) whereas you can become all rounder if you do your articleship

in Small / medium size firms..
It is the person's willingness to learn only matters and not the place he is getting trained.

In my opinion, no matter where you do your articleship, it is the determination and willingness to learn are in built in a new entrant to the profession, even a person doing articleship from remote areas can do wonders in CA Exams. This is evident many a times from the past results of the CA Exam.
It is not that only Big firm's experience is good and rest all are waste...
You can see many people from Big firms fail and also people from small/medium firms have come out with flying colours.
Only the result matters....
