The relevant section for calling EGM is Section 169 of the Companies Act, 1956. There are no particular provisions regarding the venue of holding EGM. The usual process for selecting venues for AGM can be adopted. To follow a more safe and conservative method, the EGM can be called in the Registered Office of the Company, though again, there's no particular legal requirements. Even SS2 does not require any particular venue to be chosen.
