Procrastination = Guaranteed Failure.
That is what you are doing right now and it would yield nothing but failure for the November attempt.
Your query itself gives you a hint about the mistake that you're making. It is of no use if you wake up early and sleep late, but end up spending all your time on your phone. I know it is tough, but to be able to concentrate, keep the mobile away from you as much as you can. Make it a habit that when you read, your phone isn't besides you. It will be tough for the first few days but it will get easier day by day. This will help you to focus on what you're reading. Give it a few days. It won't work like magic. Like, phone side mein rakh diya and immediately you're able to concentrate 100%. This will need time. But continue doing this and eventually you'll learn to focus.
Another thing being the fact that your mind tells you, tomorrow is another day and I'll start studying from tomorrow. The problem is, tomorrow never comes. And the 100 odd days that you have for studying suddenly become 10 days. And then you panic and then you don't study because you're now afraid.
The best way to deal with this is, whenever you feel like "Kal kar lunga yaar, this will be my last day of enjoyment", make it a point to tell yourself that YESTERDAY WAS your last day to enjoy and today you'll have to study no matter what. Whenever you feel like doing things tomorrow, do those things today.
In order to focus, you need to make a plan to study.
Make a plan. And try to stick with it as much as you can. If you make a day to day plan, whenever you look at the actual target and compare it with what you really did whenever you fall short, you'll feel bad and this will motivate you to do better the next day.
Sometimes you may not be able to focus because of something you don't understand and then you become panicky. Whenever this happens, take a 5 minute break, have a cookie or a glass of water. Sit back again. Qnd maybe this time you'll get things right. But don't give up just because you are panicky.
If you're alone and not at a study room, read things out loud. This will help you remain alert. Whenever you read things in mind, there's a chance that you wander off into youe thoughts instead of studying. But when you read it out loud.. You'll immediately know if you have stopped reading or not! Do this when you feel low on confidence.
But the biggest factor is, if you have less distractions, you'll have a greater chance of focusing and concentrating. So it is that simple. If you don't want distractions, do everything that'll help you to keep those distractions away.
When you read, try and understand what the book is trying to tell you. Think of it like a friend is telling you about something he experienced. Does this not happen often?
He comes to you and tells about events that you weren't a part of. He explains it to you until you understand the premise of the story, the characters and the happening part. If you don't understand what he's saying he explains it to you again.
This is exactly what a book does. If you don't understand something, read it again. Google it if you still don't. Ask a senior if you still don't. But I don't think there's anything so extra ordinary in the Inter books that you won't understand after reading it.
Keep the negative thoughts aside. Give yourself a target when you study daily. At the end of the day compare your performance with the target you kept. Keep motivating yourself.
In my opinion if you keep doing this for 2 weeks without skipping a single day... In week 3 you'll be able to keep studying, keep on going until the exam. Just don't skip a single day.
Hope this helps.
