WHAT WILL BE THE EFFECT OF GST ON REGISTRATION OF COMPLETED FLAT (WITH COMPLETION CERTIFICATE) ?

WILL IT BE BENEFICIAL TO REGISTER AFTR 01 JUL 2017 OR IT WILL INVITE EXTRA AMOUNT OF TAX IN ANY MEANS ?

GST is not applicable on registration charges or stamp duty levied for registration of any immovable property, whether completed or underconstruction.

GST is proposed to be levied over services provided by builder over construction of any property, like service tax levied at present. This is an additional levy over under-construction property and not chargeable over completed one.
