Please clarify on which amount EDLI @ .5% i s to be calculated while remitting PF amount.
Whether Gross earnings for PF contribution @ 12% and EDLI .5% are same.

The gross earning on which amount EDLI @ .5% i s to be calculated while remitting PF amount is Rs. 6500/- or the gross earnning whichever is less. The same Gross earning is taken as the base for calculating the amount of Pension portion @ 8.33%.

EDLI contribution only paid by Employer max limit of 6500/- (Basic +DA) @ .5%
