There is change of procedure to generate Gujarat e-waybill (Form 402). Pls do following steps :

1. Go to commercialtax.gujarat.gov.in

2. On the home page, click on :sign-up for GST e-waybill 402/403 (Link is provided in the middle of the page under "GST" menu)

3. You will be asked your GSTIN, person's name (write company's name for which you have taken GSTIN. If by mistake you give your name then on 402 your name will appear instead of company's name) and other details. Fill all the required details alongwith e-mail id & mobile no. Pls give mobile no. & e-mail id of your staff who is generating 402 so that you are not flooded with sms/mails daily.

4. Your login id will be displayed on the screen as well as you will get sms on your mobile no. You will receive password by sms.

5. After using above-mentioned id & passwords, you will be asked to select security question & answer. Pls note down the question and answer you have mentioned for future reference.

6. You will be given security code of 16 digits. You also get this by sms.

7. Pls note that in case you forget your password, you will be required to use security question-answer alongwith 16 digit security code. Since, this procedure is new, department may not know how to regenerate password. So, it becomes very important to remember above details. Make one excel file and save these details for your future reference.

8. After login you can change your password under "profile - change password" if you want. Pls select easiest password to remember and update your excel sheet with new password. You can use the same password which you were using for login to commercial tax site to generate old 402.

9. Download latest template under E-services - Validation Unit - Form 402.

10. Mostly new 402 is in line with old 402. Only change is instead of TIN of seller & buyer, they are asking GSTIN of supplier/consignor & recipient/consignee.

11. Validate it and submit it on commercialtax portal.

12. Procedure to obtain 403 is also similar. Generate 403 series no. after login with above id/password. Give no. of 403 required. You will get unique nos. Logout from portal. On the home page go to "GST e-waybill 403 submission". Rest things are same that you were doing earlier.
