I tried filling the returns through my CA, but he is unable to do so saying my PAN no is already registered and i need to give password, unfortunately i forgot my password and is unable to proceed. Last time when I filled my e-returns I was with different employer and had used official mail id for registration purpose. Can some body tell me HOW TO RETRIEVE PASSWORD without using my previous registered mail id. Any other way to file my income tax returns.

Hello, friend
You can reset your pasword, by following ways....
(1) By Acknowledgement number(last year) & bank detail(as mention in last return)
(2) By secret question
(3) By sending a mail to income tax, along the detail of your pan, but reseting pasword mail will be send on registered mail address only.
Note:- if above option not work out , then you should go for DIGITAL SIGNATURE, by the help of digital signature you can easily reset your pasword

use taxcloudindia website to file itr no need of password and even after efiling u can reset ur password widout digital signature n widout earlier mail id

Srry, How to get the digital signature
Harshay digital signature shall cost 1000-2000 rs. Try using other options instead as suggested by tax pundit.

One of my relatives started the articleship and continued for around 6 months but due to some reasons he left the CA course and articleship around 10 yrs ago. Now he wants to pursue CA, so can he take a fresh registration and start from the very beginning? If yes then what will happen to his initial registration? Please guide......
