E-filing not working properly right now.

income tax site is not working properly, some time not shown tax amount, which is reflecting in 26 AS, today total deduction column not opening.... so many glitches....

well I though one year was more than enough to fix all issues but the goof up continues.

I posted one thread but mods have not yet approved it. I hope this one gets posted now. I notice that in my ITR2 offline utility, after selecting some schedules when I go next, on subsequent screen the Continue button is disabled!

Is this a bug or expected functionality?

Are you using online or offline utility? I prefer offline utility.

Also log a grievance on the portal and take screenshots of the same. It does not help much but it assures you that you have a proof that you reported the error to the IT dept.

Thanks. Skipping the questions is just a workaround. Why does the message say click Continue and yet keep the button disabled? I have logged a grievance. This does not seem like correct to me.

The interface is hopeless, you don't get a good view of everything until you reach the very last stage of preview.

Last years json file can not be loaded in this new version of tool now for reference at all. I had to literally manually read thru json file to figure out what was filled where last year. ITR2 is relatively big!

The functionality might be great and not all can afford MS Excel so while going away with MS Excel is ok but the basics of software engineering from user's perspective have fundamentally been violated in this development.

Better to use third party software utilities so that data entry will be in your control

Is the third part software meant for general taxpayer use? I thought only CA can use it and is it interfaced with the new IT portal? Any recommendations and is it free?

Just delete the already filled form and start fresh return filing, i do same in one of my case and problem got solved.

@ Any one can use since it is commonly used by tax consultants also who are not CAs
