it is usually to the wife (in the example quoted) but if the credit is in excess then it can be shared by both husband and wife

I will tell you practically what happens.The property owner csn get the deduction U/S 80 C snd 24(b)
And also for claining deduction u/s 24(b) .wife have to make payment from her own sources.repaymrnt of loan to be made by wife

actually i m a ipcc student so i gave answer as per my knowledge was concerned but i m unaware about the sections
