Dt- understanding difficult concepts

260 views 7 replies

I have my exams in Nov. Often while doing a long question in DT (which is conceptually hard), I find myself unable to grasp the concept and lose focus. I wonder if anyone else went through this, because it seems like studying this sub is a workout for my brain.

Hi, see if this helps.
Dt being a totally practical subject... try to simulate the problems as situations.
For eg while solving a long problem in business nd profession chapter... imagine that business or profession belongs to you or your clients... and that you are trying to compute your tax liability for the year... For that you are going through the relevant provisions of the act so that you don't miss out on any benefits, exemptions that you can get so that you can reduce your tax liability also you want to make sure the treatment of each item is proper... When you do this after a couple of problems you'll realise that you can solve most part of a new problem by yourself... this would add to your confidence.

Thanks everyone. Divya, i really like your suggestion, i'll definitely try that. Also, i have decided to break down the points and if there's anywhere i get stuck i just mark it and move on.
