My only 2nd Grp of finals is left...
It would me my 1st attempt of 2nd grp
I have nt even touched Direct Taxes (DT) for once also..hoping 2 start nxt week
I wanna know..wat all topics are Important as per exam point of view and also tymngs whch should be alloted 2 each topic ??
Plz help me a bit..I vll b very grateful 2 u all !!

Dear Mansi
First try to complete vinod gupta's summary module and then try to complete practice manual of Direct Tax , this would help you to score atleast 50 - 55 marks in exam and also go through recent case law book and ammendement

but i wnt 2 knw actually wat tym should b given 2 individual topics ??
Cz i gv 2 dyz to a single topic nd its weightage is only 1-2 mrks !! Nd I study some topic whch is asked for 10-15 mrks nd gve only 1-2 hrs...
it would scare me in oct end...so.. !!

Just go through Practice manual and go through recent amendments, as it is you won't be able to revise everything in 1 day before the exams.
So its better you study from where you would be studying just before the exams, so that you will be used to it...
Try emphasising on how you will write the answers during exam time, writing about everything is not important, writing what is asked is the best policy!
Examiners love it....

Dear sir,
I have passed pcc May, 2012 exam and I have to give exam CA-final May, 2013 of 1st Group.
So, I am not deciding that which paper should study of Institute Study marerial or other writers books
so pls. suggest me.

Priority topics for dt is as under , do it as per ur schedule
Income From Business
Capital Gain
Other Sources
Assessment of Companies , trust , etc
TDS
Wealth tax
and plzzzzz dont leave practice manual for other topics including the abovementioned ones

Give more attention to the amendments, majority questions are asked from the recent changes.
Try studying the topics which you like the most so that atleast a study flow will be created, then you can get along with the tough topics.
For starters you can start with TDS or Wealth tax, penalties etc.
Then go for heads of income and all.

Paper 1- Tution material + P.M + Rawat 4 AS (52 mrks)
Paper 2- Tution material + P.M (56 mrks)
Paper 3- Urvish Shah +P.M (49 mrks)
Paper 4- Bhandari full book (63mrks)
DONT 4GET 2 REFER RTP !!
