doubt in CPM-PERT chapter of QT of CA final OLD

I am unable to understand the topic of project crashing of CPM pert Chapter of Quantitative techniques

i tried to solve previous exam questions but was unable to find the login and method of crashing.

Anyone who can explain me how to go for project crashing and explain this would be of great help?
