Doubt about efiling itr-1

Cell D41 in ITR-1 asks for income from salary/pension and mentions that one should "ensure to fill Sch TDS1". I understand this means that I'll have to fill cell C4 etc on TDS part of ITR-1. However, cell D43 asks about income from other sources and asks to "ensure to fill Sch TDS2". In my case I'll have to write about interest from bank fixed deposit but since they had not deducted TDS, I have nothing to write in cell c11 in TDS part of ITR-1. Is this correct?

Your understanding is correct.

For income tax utility, basically its all inclusive. So you will see lot of instructions which may not be useful for your case.

So just check & validate each page to check whether any page containing mandatory field is left without information. For general queries solution click here.

Dear AP ,

Such forms are designed in such way that atleast all people shall come to know what to fill where. Mentioning the reference of TDS in Other Source field , is just make you aware that if you have TDS deducted for the items falling under such head , then such TDS is to be mentioned under TDS 2.

although these seems obvious, i would like to get confirmed.

1. cell I31 in "taxes paid" sheet, i have nothing to do, i guess. I am not doing digital signature so this is left blank.

2. I earlier uploaded itr-1 on 31/07/2012 but there was one error. today i am doing it again so this is a revised return u/s 139(5). right?

Dear AP Ans 1.) First of all that cell is not for digital signature. That place is provided for the people who file their returns manually by taking print of this excel utility. So you have NOTHING to do with that place. Ans 2.) Revised Return section is 139(5).
