Doubling bacteria

A Bacteria is doubling at every 4 min. After 40 min 1024 bact. At wat time there will be 256 bacteria???:

The solution is:

1024=40min

1024/2=40min-4min (512 in 36min)

512/2=36min-4min (256 in 32 min)
