Double taxation

Dear Friends, if a person is a salaried person having net taxable income of Rs500000 he is going to pay a income tax and if he purchase a product from his income in market he is paying indirect tax also(like excise,vat etc..)is't it a double taxation under the name of direct and indirect tax????

dear govind,

In sense you are correct. i think you know the defination of tax, its "Extortion money collected through legal channels." you cannot challange the law of the land. further direct tax is tax on income while indirect tax is tax on expense. you save you dont need to pay indirect tax.

Thats what you call direct and indirect taxation.

as you focus on the Indian Economy, then it has double taxation effect which creats the cascading effect but as you focus on the Russian economy you will surely find the difference ..

that;s the whole problem in India ,,,
