Double return of single transaction (help....!!!)

When i was preparing list for monthly tds return, i made a mistake, i submitted reutrn 2 times of single transaction. now i have to adjust that entry. how can i make adjustment. plzzzzzzz help and advise me

If you file two returns for single transactions normally the tin central system rejected the second return. You go to the site and see the status of the quarterly return and you may find the second return was rejected. If not send a letter to tin asking to ignore the second return

Dear sir thanking you, but it happened, i deducted TDS amount on contractor's payment. We pay to contractor every month.. i deducted the TDS amount for the month of nov. the bill date was 29 nov. so i deducted TDS on nov month but we make payment on december for that bill of november. so when i prepared list of tds for the month of december, i again included tha same transaction.. in this way i have deducted tds 2 time for the same transaction. and this return cleared. when i recheck for tds. i found this mistake. so what should i do for adjustment..........

Dear Shailaendra

Then you may file revised return by returning the tds amount to the contractor. In the revised return you may show the amount in (-) symbol.The payment made may be adjusted for some other contractor or you may request the ITO (TDS) for refund
