One of the director living in USA since 30 yrs. He don’t have any address proof in India. But his passport was issued by Indian passport authority and mention Nationality as Indian with foreign address. While filling the DIN 1 form, I select nationality as Indian, when automatically in permanent address, country as Indian. Please suggest me how to apply for DIN.
Thanks & Regards

Copy of Passport is not the address proof for the NRI. Its the Copy of Identity Proof. For address proof, you can give copy of Passport/ Driving Licence/ Electrcity or elephone Bill etc.
For obtaining the DIN of NRI, all the documents must be attested by the Notary of the country where the applicant resides i.e. Passport, address proof and a verification is also required to be signed by the applicant.
Even if he is in India, the documents are required to be notarised. If its not possible to get the documents notarised then the the Managing Director of the company in which the NRI is to be appointed can attest the documents and the same can be filed for applying the DIN
