112 is an emergency number and is meant to land in the police control room.

Hi Mr.D&K, Probably you would have missed to read the forum message posted by Mr.Rajeev Agarwal with the caption "Do u hav Mobile? Its really important !!!" on 27/11/2008. Read that and try the number. Then you will come to know.

The phrase "Emergency Number" means it is a Police number. I hope they didn't harass you too much.
