in your case the person from u r buing the goods they will collect CST @ 2% or any other rate.
When u r selling within the state u will have to collect VAT.
CST paid will be your cost of goods.
so whether i have to take CST number or not?

If u take CST No. u will be charged @ 2% after giving ur CST No.to the seller and C form at appropriate time
and if not u will be charged at the rate higher than 2% might be 5 / 5.5 /12.5% which is highest rate in that state
