But how is IPCC better than PCC. Apart from the 9 month leverage and an additional certificate (ATC), is'nt it the same? What I want to clarify is that whether the institute will extend the last attempt of PCE final which is MAy 2012? What will happen to those students of PCE who dont clear May 2012? Could some one please clarify N add something that I'm missing out on?

hello

Professional Competence Course (PCC) under the new scheme is Integrated Professional Competence Course) without article registration
and can sit in new IPCC exam after 9 months of registration. The Integrated Professional Competence Course comprises of 2 groups.
Group I comprise of 4 papers namely:- Group II comprise of 3 papers namely:-
1. Accounting 1. Advanced Accounting
2. Business Laws, Ethics and Communication 2. Auditing and Assurance
3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management 3. Information Technology and Strategic Management
4. Taxation
Only on passing group I of IPCC, a student shall be eligible to get registered for articles which shall now be for a period of 3
years as against existing requirement of 3 ½ years. Further, under the new scheme a student shall be eligible to sit in Final exam in last
six months of his articleship as against the existing condition to sit in Final examination only after completion of articles.
All such students getting registered for IPCC on or before 31st January, 2009 shall be eligible to sit in new IPCC examination
scheduled for November 2009 as they shall complete 9 months of study course, 100 hours of Information Technology Training and
Orientation Course by that time.
For the sake of recapitulation, I write below the salient features of the new scheme of education:-
 Pass CPT examination
 Register/Enroll for Integrated Professional Competence Course(IPCC)
 Complete 9 months of Study Course
 Complete 100 hours of Information Technology Training (ITT)
 Complete Orientation Course (35 hours spread over one week)
 Pass Group I or both Groups of Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE)
 Register as Articled Assistant for a period of 3 years
 Pass Group II of IPCC if not already passed
 Appear in Final Examination during last 6 months of 3 years of articled training
 Pass both the Groups of Final examination
 Get Final Examination Certificate
 Complete remaining period of articled training, if applicable
 Complete Course on General Management and Communication Skills
 Enroll as a member of ICAI and designate as “Chartered Accountant”
The following table will clarify the difference between the existing Professional Competence Course and the newly launched
Integrated Professional Competence Course
PCC and Articleship on or before 31st January, 2009/Get
registered for IPCC without Articleship
PCC IPCC
PCC/IPCC – Exam Due November 2010 November 2009
Result of PCC/IPCC Exam January 2011 January 2010
Registration of Articleship under IPCC NA January 2010
Completion of Articleship under PCC/IPCC June 2012 January 2013
Final Exam Due November 2012 November 2012
Result of Final Exam January 2013 January 2013
I have given the above table just to inform you the difference in two schemes and to drive home the point that you would not
be a looser when you register for the new IPCC. It will be advisable to get registered immediately after the result of CPT and before 31st
January, 2009 so that you would be eligible to sit in November, 2009 examination. You may visit www.icai.org for more details or can
have the IPCC Prospectus for Rs. 100/- from any nearest branch office of the Institute.

hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.

Every body,

I am confused, I had completed my CPT in june-08,nd doing completed articles for 5 months,

shud i convert my PCC Into IPCC ,or continue in the PCC.

suggest me wat shuould i do?

hi ankit

I think pcc you have to write in may 10, IPCC you can take in nov09. so it will be good for you and you will gain knowledge of having advanced subjects comapring to cpt, you can try out and any way your articles will be counted after IPCC also.Just check out with inst.

ATC is IPCC 1st group subjects which you dont need to do that, if your doing ipcc then you can register direct to ipcc. ATC is for gainin knowledge and who dont want to do ca and dont want to continue ca..That time they can extend or you can convert other new course in 2012 have to see...if they dont clear they can convert to new scheme..

I am very much thank ful to you,So It mean I shuold Convert my PCC to IPCC.

I had one more query of IPCC, if i convert PCC into IPCC ,I shud write CA -final in may-2012,or nov-2012.sugest me sir.

you can take in may 2012. after ipcc 3 years articles.before final 2.5 years has to complete then final exam and rest of articles..you have already done 5 months articles.then you have to work for 2.1 years rt.then jan 2010 starts your articels 2011, 2012 2 years then you can take in may 2012 and rest articles madam..pls check out with icai for whole thing....all the best

i want to know for which level of course of IPCC should i go for

Actually i want to know about ATC What is it?

if i choose group I , group II of IPCC and ATC (all levels) then what will be the process?

When will be the exams?

hi.. i hav passed cpt june 2008.. n kept it aside bcoz i dint wanted to disturb my regular colg.now can i register for ipcc without shifting to b.com(H)corres.??? i am doing my 2nd yr b.com(H) frm regular colg.. so pls advise whether i shud register for ipcc or i shud complete my graduation n then switch over to ca..

hii...i hav passed cpt in december 2008..i want to kno that what is the 9 months study course to be made before sitting for the IPCC exams in nov 2009? Does it mean do i have to do any articleship or sum training before giving the exam?? Plz help me..
