hello frnz..

hw was costing for all of u ???

mine was good.

did any one found any mistake in question no. 1 (i) and question 3 (b) ???

was a avg paper for me...not so good as last 3 but better than accounts...which ques r u talking abt

today's paper was quite tuff ! ICAI ne sab ki band baja di.

hi karan... can u specify exactly what is that u find wrong in those questions..?

m talking abt ques 1 (i)

in that ques the word 'not' is missing...
cz if d word 'not' is nt present then...both (i) and (ii) would be d same...

and in ques no. 3 (b)

from the given facts in the question... 

For producing 'A' ...one unit of 'B' is needed...

and in the question it is asked that at what price shall A transfer the product to 'B'...??
so when 'A' needs one unit of 'B'...thr is no logic that 'A' will supply it to 'B'..!!

so tht r d 2 mistakes in the ques paper which i hv found ..and hv answered it accordingly..

 

In respect of 3rd Qn ,,,, i had to read 3 times just to understand what icai wanted! ABC system ... where are overheads ?? 

couldnt make head or tail of tht qn!!

i wrote..

for 1st instance, it is not required to introduce abc  and

for 2nd instance , it is required!! no basis .... jus tried ma luck!! matter of 8 marks!!!

1(i) was BEP I GUESS.....:( for wht volumes of mkt demand will manufacture recommended at all???dat wd b BEP no......

yes i too just realised the Q 3.b is wrongly framed... but i have answered it straight... lets see what happens....

cant see any mistake in Q1.1... anyways any suggestions on probable answer for q1.1??

Really Tough Paper.. Earlier OR was the saviour in Costing Exams - But In the New Scheme, OR cannot be depended upon for marks.

In todays paper - Standard Costing, Budgeting and Theory was the life saviour. Hope they give full marks in Std Costing and Budgeting and atleast half the marks in Theory. I have a feeling that I might just scrape through because of these topics.
