Discontinuation of articleship

Hello I want to quit my articleship. 1.5 years of my articleship has been already completed . I want to know whether I can complete the rest of the period ( i.e., 1.5 year) after an year or 2 ?? Or would I have to start it again from the beginning ( i.e., for all 3 years).?

You can do the remaining period later on. You won't have to start again from 0. But, make sure you have a valid registration in IPCC. And, for further safety , you may consult Assisstant Secretary of your Regional Office who looks after Articleship related matters.

Hi harshad,

In my opinion there is no provision of quitting articles and restarting in again in future. Only if you take a transfer/ termination of articleship as per the regulation then you are able to terminate and join anytime in future. Please see rules regarding the same after first year of articleship. And then either visit your nearest regional centre / call them and ask.
