Nihit Jhaveri is good enough. But just make sure you are working out sums from PM or Bangar's compiler. It's very important that you know the application of the different concepts. Personally I use the compiler since I find it better arranged than the PM. In case you want to substitute Jhaveri with some other book, try Bhanwar Borana's handwritten book. It's available on Amazon and Flipkart. It's almost identical in length to Jhaveri, except that it also covers a few topics like deemed dividend and residential status which Jhaveri has not and also comes with a case law booklet which covers all the cases in the ICAI case law book. In any case Jhaveri has not released his book for May 17 yet so wait till it comes out and then take a call. I would not recommend Manoharan or VG or any other author not because they are not good but simply because their books have way too much stuff to cover and you have to take the time factor into consideration. Again I repeat, work out problems after understanding concepts. Good luck!
