What's use of it.? and
What is DIN - 1, DIN - 2, DIN - 3, DIN - 4..?
What those four DIN's are meant for...?

DIN:-Director Identification Number
Use:- An individual cannot be appointed as director in a company without having DIN.
DIN1:-To be filed with the ROC for getting director identification number
DIN2:- To be given by Director the Company showing that he has got this number
DIN3:- To be given by the COMPNAY to the ROC intimating DIN of its director
DIN4:- For the amendments in contents of DIN VIZ. name, date of birth,

DIN - DIRECTOR IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
It is code given by ROC to a Director of a company for Identification in Law provisions(Companies Act,1961 and Rules made there on).
DIN -1 :-
It is a application for allotment of Director Identification Number to a Director by ROC

Under Section 266A of the Companies Act, 1956 no person can be appointd as a director of the Company unless he has obtained Director Identificaiton Number.

DIN is mandatory to obtain..as in ROC as well as even for obtaining loans,bank crosschecks records of directors based on DIN
