I have Querries in Digital Signature for 44AB assessees:

1.  Can an individual who obtained Digital Signature can sign both his Individual Status and HUF (Karta) Status 44AB returns.

2.  Can a legal representative sign with his digital signature for his deceased person.

3.  Can the Digital Signature taken in his individual name can be used to sign the firm's return in which he is a partner and who is authorised to sign the return of income of the firm.

Please clarify.

thanks in advance

Yes he can use the same digital signature for signing the both his individual returns and HUF (provided he is the KARTA of the FAMILY).

The same digital signature can be used for signing the partnership firm returns (provided he should be active and managing partner of the firm.)

Hello,

I agree with response of Naveen. As far as I also know, an individual can use his class 2 Individual or class 3 Individual digital signature for filing his own returns or for filing returns of his HUF if he is a karta or for his firm if he is an active partner or for his company if he is a director.

Only in case of e-tenders, digital signatures in name of organisation are used .

(You could see more info on Income Tax website or on this site on Digital Signature)

Hope above info throws more light on the question.
