Revise Gst returns filed under composition scheme

one of my friend unknowingly filed GST returns under composition scheme,he supposed to do under regular scheme, now he wants to correct his mistake & revise his returns under regular scheme by claiming input & paying differencial amount of tax. is it possible? is there any option to do so? your suggestions please?
