Can a OPC be a holding company of any private or public company?

no not possibleopc member and nominee of opc can be a only natural person

yes..
but if such OPC holds more than half of share capital of any Company by way of investment..
then such latter company becomes the subsidiary right

But not allowed under companies Act, 2013.
OPC cannot become a member by acquiring securities of any other companies.
If it invests or acquires, it will Amount to contravention. Hence Not allowed.
But
Member of OPC can acquire shares of another company.

yes ...my question is whether member of OPC can become a holding of another ... and the answer from other sources is it "yes"

No, any other company can not invest in OPC. Only Individuals can become shareholder of OPC
