You can definitly get Answer / Solutions from our Great Expert Mr. Dhirajlal Rambhia Sir...

OK thank you sir
Mr.x received gift in cash rs 3,00,000 from the son of his father's brother and gift of rs 1,00,000 in cash from brother of Mrs.x he has a agricultural income of rs 5,00,000.
compute his tax liability for Assessment year 2016-17.
(b)He is aged 81 years
(c)He is non resident and he has completed age of 80 years as on 31.3.2016

As such there is no tax liability.

Because the gift from brother of his spouse and agricultural income earned are tax exempt.

Only liability of tax would have arised on the gift received from his cousin, but that is under basic exemption limit, so net tax liability is nil.

But he must file ITR for the relevant year.

sir these are 3 parts... in ist part we have take age limit below 80....in second case tax liability is nill....
and what will b the treat me of 3rd part.....non resident
treatment*

I have taken query as real case of super sr. citizen, as single part.

But it hold good even for senior citizen of 60 years and above.

For any assessee below 60 years of age tax liability will arise over Rs.50,000/- at 20 percent slab....... subject to other deductions.....

thank you Sir.... i think here is miss print in book....i had followed the same concept.....but still ans is not matching... but thank you sir for helping me.....I from Kashmir and in my area there are highly educated people...Doctors engineers and other. but no one is from Our profession....and whenever i faced prblm no1 here for hplng me...but now em feeling so glad that some1 here.....once again thank you sir
