CIT appeal

demand u/s 156 has raised byA.O.. can i appeal to CIT (A) without deposit the said demand. plz mention the rule/ section.

Tax on returned income is required to be paid before filing appeal before CIT(A).

yes you can go for appeals but still AO has the powers to collect the raised demand when first appeal is pending

yes but generally you can hold AO to wait till the decision of appeal. you can continue with the minimum fees of 1000

without getting a stay on demand you can't hold AO for a long period
