Yes, He can take separate registration if he wants to obtain. However consider the compliance cost before taking the separate registration

Yes, each business will require a different licence.
Even if the same business has different offices and stores they will need different registrations.
Like in case of ecommerce every seller who take flipkart / amazon facility to store the products in their warehouses will also need to register that location sepeartely and will need to file return of that seperately.

you can take seperate registration but for applying online you need approval from your state or central jurisdiction officer.

Mr. Nagesh, please relook into the suggestion you have given.
It is not mandatory to take separate registration for each brach which are located with in state.
It is optional given to the assessee to obtain the separate registration, if he has different vertical line of business ( ex; business of selling soaps & business of selling chacolates ).

YES, YOU CAN TAKE SEPARATE REGISTRATION FOR TWO SEPARATE BUSINESS.
IN CGST ACT IS IS MENTIONED THAT
"A person seeking registration under this Act shall be granted a single registration in a State or Union territory: Provided that a person having multiple business verticals in a State or Union territory may be granted a separate registration for each business vertical, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed."
