Presentation issues in ISCA

Hi,

I'm a CA Final student.

I'm not getting good marks in ISCA from past few attempts,despite the fact that I remember each & every point in the subject from study material..

But my marks always fall below 40..

After analysis,I found out two reasons for this

1) that I write points exactly from the study material but The inside explanation is all "BANA KE LIKHA HAI" types..

2) may be Presentation issues..

For the first reason I'll be writing relevant text inside every point..

But friends I really dont know what to do about the second reason??

Everyone says good presentation but I really want to know in detail How to do good presentation??

Those who successfully cleared the group &/or got an exemption in ISCA,please take a few minutes to give your suggestion on this issue..

Hi manisha ... I wud recommend u to solve mock test papers nd den check answers ... institute suggested answers are also really helpful ... refer that ... nd den see d difference ... gudluck ... :)

nthing much to do....only write all the points frst den start explaining dem in detail in ur language...but d points should be exactly same of module...i got 77 marks in din attempt...hpoefully it will help u in exams...

Most of the times we get carried away thinking what ever we are doing is correct and may ignore our flaws. Since, you have assessed your recent past performance, try taking corrective action, so that you are able to score good marks.

You may be able to write the correct points but if the points are not substantiated with appropriate terms, this may put off the valuer, mind you the person who is evaluating the paper is technically sound and knows the crux of the answer. Hence, try to write present your answer with relevant explantion, so that the examiner can get impressed and award you good marks.

I agree with Ms Shaina's suggestion to appear in mock test, so that you can identify and assess your overall performance.

Thanks Sahil but I'm writing the exact points from the Study Mat, the inside explanation is in my own language thinking that the examiner is reading only the main points & not explanation.. Then also I'm getting less marks..

Thanks Sathish, I agree with your point that we ignore our flaws..

So I will take care of what I write in explanation is relevant..

I have been following the same method as Shagun has mentioned, then also not getting marks, thats why I wanted to know whether there is any other better way of presentation..

What do people mean by the term Presentation??

I mean I know the dictionary meaning ofcourse but practically what is it to present in ISCA so that it gives good impression on the examiner??

i think you need to work on technical words and please find the important key words under each subheading.....it will surely improve your result

In ISCA ,only headings are not enough...writing the expected technical words is really very important.It is impossible to remember each and every line,but what you can do is underline the important technical words and then write down answers in ur own language but make sure that u have written those technical words in your answers. This activity really helped me.I qualified in January 2016 and today I scored 80/100 in ISCA..I did this subject daily for 2.5 hrs and 1 hr revision.It is a very scoring subject.
