Income tax revised return filing

I have agricultural income of Rs.1 lakh every year. However, while efiling for the assessment year 2013-14, I forgot to mention in the return and I filed ITR 1 instead of ITR 2. I want to show the income from agriculture because it will be useful for my financial transactions. My question is that may I file ITR2 instead of ITR1 and I have also submitted my efiling before due date but did not send the ITRV. Please guide what to do further in this matter.

Yes you can file revised return many number of times since you mentioned that return is filed within due date.. File itr 2

Yes, you can file the revised return of income tax for AY 2013-14, anytime before 31st Mar 2015

hello balaji,

first of all send the ITR V of original return. u can file ur revise return n no. of time upto 31/3/2015 and u cn also file ITR2 in place of ITR1. but remember that original ITR V must be sent.

Agreed with Nitin K. Becasuse while revising the return you will have to establish that you have file the original return within the due date.

Dear Bala ji, u can file ur revised return (ITR 2),mentoning therein the original acknowledgement no. and date of filing of return, please note that u have to send ur original & revised acknowledgement both, it does not matter whether u hv already send ur original Acknowledgement or not.
