hello everyone,
(1) what is the minimum duration to get a degree from ignou i.e (bcom accounting and finance) for a person who cleared
ipcc both groups
(2) is ignou degree valid for pursuing cfa (us)

@ rushab are you sure about it. Can i register now, if yes then when will i get my degree? I am doing CA ipcc my attempt is may 2013

It is advisable to register for B.com from IGNOU after you complete your IPCC, since, in that case, you can complete it in just one year (the minimum duration for students who have not completed their IPCC is 3 years). Your results will be declared in August 2013. So assuming that you'll clear both the groups, You will be eligible to write the B.com exams in December, 2014 (the results of which will be declared in after 2-3 months) if you register on or before November 30, 2013.

@ rushab i am in final and am done with articleship. Truly can i get a b.com. degree in a duration of one year if so am really happy and interested can you provide any link so that i can collect more info regarding the admissions PLEASE

@ Keval Shah: After clearing both groups of your IPCC, you are going to commence your Articleship. So you need to submit Form 112 to the Institute for obtaining permission to do study course during the period of Articleship within one month from the date of registration of your Articleship (if you don't want to pay any late fee).

@ Nitu: I am unable to reply to your scrap or send you a PM as it seems like I need to be your friend for the same. So I am replying here. As you said that you are also doing CS, I think it will be better if you register as early as possible i.e., before 14th Aug. 2012 (https://www.ignou.ac.in/upload/Admission_Open_July_2012_Final_new1_new_20_new.pdf) and appear in the June 2013 exams. Meanwhile you will be appearing in your IPCC exams in May, 2013. So if you clear both IPCC as well as B.com exams, then you may (not sure, so please enquire) apply for the B.com Certificate as you will completing IPCC and also minimum duration period of one year will be elapsed.
