Depreciation is to be provided for fixed assets irrespective of the activity of the business.

Mr. Anthony is correct to say. There is no question arise whether business activity is contiuned for the depreciation of assets. If there is no business activity, depreciation and other expenses to go on miscellaneous expenditure under the head of assets.
