ON SALE OF DEPB LICENSE WHETHER VAT IS LEVIABLE?

There are case laws wherein it was held that DEPB is goods for the purposeo of VAT/CST. Hence will attract VAT/CST.

IF DEPB LICENCE HOLDER IS IN DELHI AND PURCHASNER IS IN DELHI WHEN THE VAT WILL NOT IMPOSED . I MEAN THAT IF YOU SELL IT IN OTHER STATES , VAT APPLICABLE IT DEPANDS THE VAT POLICY OF THE CONCERNED STATE DEPARTMENT.
