IOCL is the highest ranked Indian Co. to be listed in the Fortune500 Rankings...
It belongs to the evergreen Oil & Gas Industry
The job will be recession free, I.e an IOCL (or any Navratna PSU) employee doesn't worry abt pink slip during all his career.
the above points are in favour of IOCL.......u can evaluate it with Deloitte & make ur decision...
P.S the money will be lesser than Deloitte, but the benefits more than compensate for the same....However, if u are passionate abt the Audit profession, forensic a/c, risk advisory etc...then Deloitte is for u....

Dear Vivek,
IOCL IS PUBLIC SECTOR ENTERPRISES.HERE DECISIONS ARE HIGHLY CENTRALISED AND ACTIONS ARE VERY LATE. THEY RAMP UP THIER OPERATIOSN VERY SLOW. THEY TOOK NEALRY 3 YEARS TO INCREASE THE BUSINESS THROUGH ROYALTY SYSTEMS. IOCL ALOS ENSURES THAT MOST OF THE EXPENSES ARE PUSHED TO THEIR VENDORS AND USUALLY THEY HAVE POOR RELATION WITH THEIR VENDORS.
MOREOVER THEY HAVE CULTURE OF ENTERING ANY BUSINESS RELATION THROUGH TENDER. THIS TAKES TOLL OF VENDOR PARTICULARY FROM PRIVATE SECTOR.
DELOITESS ON THE OTHER HAND IS MUCH BETTER AND HAVE OFFICES ON ALL PARTS OF WORLD.GROWTH DEFINATELY IS GOOD AND U WILL BE HAVING MORE DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY.

Dont worry abt the Vendors.....whatever relations iocl has with its vendors, in spite of that every time a tender is floated, every vendor struggles to be associated with iocl.
You shud consider it at the personal front....that what r ur expectations & aspirations.....
