As of now there are no any strict Guidelines or Regulations which specifies the Scope of the work of Articled Assistants.
Some Auditors are taking the advantage of this loophole and most of the times using the Articled Assistants for:

Doing their personal works and even for house keeping

Doing the Office boy/ Office assistant works like,
File keeping
Office keeping
Buying Stationery
Couriering/posting the documents
Getting photocopies of the documents
Collecting/delivering the documents from/to the clients
Depositing Cash/Cheques
Withdrawing Cash
Getting the DD’s
-
And if there is any other business owned by the Auditor deploying the Assistants over there to do the work which is no where related to the CA Profession.
Hence, by the above one can understand that the exact purpose of the practical Training for the CA Students is not getting fulfilled.
So, can any body DEFINE THE SCOPE OF WORK FOR THE ARTICLED ASSISTANTS?
