Deductions u/s 80c & 80d

Hi ! Everybody.

Can ne1 please answer my following question.

I do work with a Pvt Ltd Co. My LIC premium and Mediclaim Premium are being paid by my Employer.

My question is that can I claim the deductions u/s 80C & 80D in my Return agnst above. Will it be considered as perks.

I would prefer to have expert like opinion in this regard at the earliest.
