My father invest in UTI & SBI Mutual funds,so,can he claim Drductions u/s-80C?

Only if invested in ELSS schemes, but not any other MF investment.......
Is it necessary to Invest in ELSS mutual funds for claiming deductions u/s-80C?
Yes if it is ELSS ie tax saving mutual fund
